A wealth of information

This book is an invaluable aid for anyone looking to improve their fitness using cross training. It does exactly 'what it says on the tin', providing you with a multitude of daily workouts.

All in all, a great compilation. There are enough WOD's in this great little book to add variety to you workout routine for years to come.

This record is my gemstone collection and thanks to Morgan, who provide me this as a newfangled direction of life. Actually, I had in frustration cause of my physical weakness (Fat) and others. Finally, this book gave me direction to avoid blame life. After reading, I just realized myself as a strong man having right tips and tricks Of body exercise. There have lots of techniques that are suitable for all ages people and I like to be exposed the Day with these cross training! Highly recommend to my friends!

Well laid out and formatted in Kindle. Easy to read and follow along. This has some of the best workouts i have come across. Really kick my butt.

Anyone into cross training needs to get this book. I highly recommend it. For experienced people you will catch on quick. For beginners this book takes the time in the beginning to teach basic terms. So either way this book is for you. I like the name too, lol.

Having written a Blinky program to check that everything we need is installed and working we move on to exploring the basics of using the GPIO and also master memory mapping, pulse width modulation and other more sophisticated bus types. From here we can start connecting sensors, which is a core requirement for IoT. First we’ll meet the ubiquitous I2C bus, next we’ll implement a custom protocol for a one-wire bus, and eventually we’ll add eight channels of 12-bit AtoD with the SPI bus, which involves overcoming some subtle difficulties. Next we look at the traditional serial interface how to use it to communicate with other devices. This paves the way for getting the Pi on the web – after all this is a book about the Internet of Things -using first a USB WiFi adapter and sockets and then the low cost ESP8266, which is particularly useful with the Pi Zero which has only one USB port. Having transformed the Pi into both a web client and a web server we can then use them to exchange information.

It needs a little work

I'm likely to improve upon my rating as I work through this book, but the lack of attention to editing makes the first several pages read a mess.

"If it does upgrade to a Pi 2/3." - Page 13, Paragraph 2. A comma would be most helpful here and in several places in the text before it. Programming is all about paying attention to syntax and readability.The same is true of the English language. If you ever make it to a second edition, please get a decent editor to correct these errors so one can read it without having to go back and reconstruct the meaning. It breaks all rhythm.

Reconceptualising Professional Learning develops these issues through specific contemporary cases focused on one of the book’s three main themes: (1) professionals’ knowing in practice, (2) professionals’ work arrangements and technologies, or (3) professional responsibility. Each chapter draws upon innovative theory to highlight the sociomaterial webs through which professional learning may be reconceptualised. Authors are based in Australia, Canada, Italy, Norway, Sweden, and the USA as well as the UK and their cases are based in a range of professional settings including medicine, teaching, nursing, engineering, social services, the creative industries, and more.

By presenting detailed accounts of these themes from a sociomaterial perspective, the book opens new questions and methodological approaches. These can help make more visible what is often invisible in today’s messy dynamics of professional learning, and point to new ways of configuring educational support and policy for professionals.

Physical book is fine, other components not so much

Here's what you need to know about this Pearson product. The book is fine and seems like an adequate book for teaching Java. However, what college students need to be aware of is there are other components that can be bundled with this book.

One of these is MyProgrammingLab. You will either need to buy a book that includes the access code for this or purchase the code separately on the Pearson website. My son isn't actually using this part for his college class, so I can't speak about the quality of the actual product.

There is also another portion called the Companion Website. I have been told that copies of the physical book come with the access code for this. If you buy the ebook, and there are several companies that put them out, it does NOT come with the companion website access code. You can try to purchase this on the Pearson site - except for the fact the the buy button doesn't actually work. Their tech support says this isn't their problem and you will have to contact customer service. However, my son was able to find a work around and managed to pay for the code.

However, you do NOT get instant access. You have to wait for the code to be emailed to you within the next 24 hours. And by 24 hours they mean, you'll have to try contacting someone when you don't actually receive it. Again, tech support says not their issue that you didn't receive the code and you have to email customer support and wait for a response. In this case their automated email message says expect to hear back 3 days from now.

College students need to be aware that the the ebook version sold by the Barnes and Noble campus bookstores doesn't include the code, even though you will be told they do. The ebook is by Yuzu (a Barnes and Noble company). Even though Yuzu's customer service was pleasant to deal with, they didn't actually know that the companion website existed.

Also, note that I've been told that Amazon's and Chegg's version of the ebook does NOT include the access code for the companion website. I've been told that the ebook by CouseShare does, but you would need to confirm that for yourself.

So there you have it, be prepared to spend more time trying to figure out all these issues if you choose to go the cheaper ebook + access code route to save yourself money as a poor college student, than you do actually writing code.

Very Useful. Would recommend.

This book gives you a better understanding of how to code Java. It is for beginners like myself and is very easy to understand. The book is nice and compact, so it in not to heavy in my bookbag after a long day at school.

I personally really liked using this book to help me code because I wasn't completely understanding it all at first, but this book helped me by breaking things down for me and walking me through the process. Even if you're not a beginner though, I've noticed this book has a few tricks and loopholes to make some assignments easier and shorter to work on. Over all, I'm am not a huge fan of coding, but this book made it enjoyable.

Recommended reading for blending together TDD and Django

It is a TDD book with a strong Django flavor. It assumes a significant understanding of the web development stack HTTP+HTML+CSS except the JS universe which in a way makes sense since using stand alone Django makes you gravitate towards the back-end and generate content through template rendering or responding with JSON data. Your reading speed may drop significantly if you don't grasp key concepts related to those technologies beforehand or your architectural principles differ from the author's. Front-end specialists will definitely prefer other books on front-end frameworks related testing technologies by the same publisher.

The author however is able to construct a compelling narrative for back-end and API development the TDD way which is something I appreciate. As such it reads at times as an interesting developer story and at others as a review of an overwhelmingly commented code. Overall is a good comprehensive read on the subject and particularly so if you come from other back-end frameworks like Flask (my case). Not a masterpiece but definitely a recommended reading these days if you want to blend together TDD and Django.

2. Author doesn't waste my time, skips some basic topics like Python & Django installation and jumps right into the programming,
3. Author seems to be a practitioner, there isn't too much theory, you can follow provided examples sitting at the computer.

Very useful book for professional Django developers like me willing to dive into Test-Driven Development. It doesn't teach you the basics of python or Django. Instead, it focus on its primary topic (TDD) and covers it exhaustively and comprehensively.
Highly recommended for all python/Django web developers interested in Test-Driven Development technology.
